In class we watched an amazing movie called Mississippi Burning. In the beginning two FBI agents named Agent Rupert Anderson and Agent Alan Ward traveled from Washington to Mississippi to figure out the disappearance of Andrew Goodman, James Earl Chaney, and Michael Henry Schwerner. It began with the three young men vanishing on the night of June 21st. A lot of obstacles occurred during the investigation I found an article that states some events that occurred during the movie which you can find at the end of my blog.

The movie really showed how rough racism was for example African Americans being beaten, being harassed, homes burnt down by KKK members. The amount of violence that went on in the movie for example black people being executed and killed but the police and klan members in the movie were also executed and beating white people as well. Klan members also burnt down churches, attacked members of the FBI when they were trying to investigate the case of the 3 missing people. The movie had my heart racing. I felt like I could feel how overwhelmed and determined they were to figure out what happened to the three young men and the racism they had to experience. I think they did an amazing job showing what life was like back then and what they dealt with. It makes me more thankful to have the life I have right now.
