Today in talking about freedom class we watch a video about the Supreme Court and how important their jobs are. The Supreme Court is the most powerful court in the U.S. There are nine people that come together make decisions on cases granted certiorari.

The justices consider cases that they review once a week. There are 7000 cases a year that get sent to the justices so they can be considered. When they are finally considered they go to court. They get many important considerations they have to take in and think about. Opinions are super important and surprisingly take the longest. Their main goal is to persuade people in the court house to agree with their opinion.

The Judicial Review is the power of the court to check all actions in all parts of the government. It will be either constitutional or unconstitutional. Judicial Activism is a constant change in the law. Which also means that they can put a case down as unconstitutional. Judicial Restraint either takes time or has no charges at all.

When watching this video it reminded me when I was in my government class and we were learning about the different branches of judicial, legislative and executive. Or when we talked about the supreme court. But this was more in depth, and was actually quite interesting it helped me see everything in a different point of view. The video really explains what it is the Judiciary that actually provides all the information and awareness in peoples opinions. A bunch of people believe that the judiciary hides information and I think the video source will maybe change peoples minds.
